Problem

A client expressed interest in using the manifest for a palm leaf manuscript https://archive.org/details/rashodgson13 -- https://iiif.archivelab.org/iiif/rashodgson13/manifest.json.

The manifest seems to includes an initial blank, grey page (https://iiif.archivelab.org/iiif/rashodgson13$0/full/4188,/0/default.jpg) which does not display on the Archive.org item bookreader.

Explanation

From slack: hank [9:57 AM]

that image does exist in the source files: https://archive.org/download/rashodgson13/rashodgson13_jp2.zip/rashodgson13_jp2%2Frashodgson13_0000.jpg https://archive.org/download/rashodgson13/rashodgson13_jp2.zip/rashodgson13_jp2%2Frashodgson13_0000.jpg
but the item’s scandata file indicates that this image (and also images 0001 and 0052, containing the color cards) are to be skipped in the “access formats” (BookReader, PDF, etc.)—see addToAccessFormats=false for those pages in https://archive.org/download/rashodgson13/rashodgson13_scandata.xml.

Resolution

The Labs IIIF service should be made aware of the addToAccessFormats property which can be used to skip these pages
