Warrior appears to be running but web UI doesn't respond to clicks

I just installed archiveteam-warrior-v2-20121008.ova in VirtualBox on a Mac running 10.12.1

When I access localhost:8001, it logs INVALID SETTINGS to the JS console and prompts me to configure the warrior by entering a nickname. If I do so, then click Save Settings, nothing happens. (If I don't blink, I can see the words "Saving settings..." appear and disappear very quickly next to the button.)

Additionally, none of the tabs on the left side (Current Project / All Projects / Your settings) respond to clicks. Nothing happens. INVALID SETTINGS is re-logged to the console with each click.

However, the network traffic graph is showing activity happening in the background.

I have tried with both Safari 10.0.1 and Chrome 54.0.2840.71.

Let me know if there's any other info I can provide.

I also turned off my browser extensions, but it didn't seem to change anything.
