Ghostscript/GhostPDL 9.55.0 Release Candidate 1

Important: We have a new code signing certificate for signing the MS Windows installers, which may cause warnings on install until the new certificate gains sufficient reputation.
Important 2: This release includes the new PDF interpreter (implemented in C rather than PostScript). It is both integrated into Ghostscript (disabled by default at present), and available as a standalone, PDF only, binary. See https://ghostscript.com/pdfi.html for more details.

gpdf/pdfi tech preview/beta 1

This is a beta of the new PDF interpreter for Ghostscript and the GhostPDL family. It supports all the same PDF features and output devices that the old Ghostscript PDF interpreter does, but is still missing some "extra" (not required by the PDF spec) Ghostscript specific features - mainly, it currently only supports "resources" (fonts, CMaps, ICC profiles) built into the binary in the romfs (COMPILE_INITS=1), and not from disk.

For this beta, the Windows installers are unsigned, due to the logistical issue with our binary signing certificate - that will be resolved before the upcoming Ghostscript/GhostPDL release.

This is an alpha (so certainly buggy!) of the new PDF interpreter for Ghostscript and the GhostPDL family. But it is essentially supports at least the PDF specification features supported by the current (Postscript based) Ghostscript PDF interpreter.
