Vixar Places

Vixar Places is a web application built with Node.js and Express.js that allows users to share different types of places with the world and rate other users' experiences. The application uses the Mapbox API to display location information.

Installation

  1. Clone the repository: git clone https://github.com/your-username/vixar-places.git
  2. Install dependencies: npm install
  3. Set environment variables:
    • MAPBOX_TOKEN - your Mapbox API token
    • DB_URL - your MongoDB database URL
  4. Run the application: node app.js

Usage

  1. Open your web browser and navigate to http://localhost:3000
  2. Sign up for a new account or log in to an existing account
  3. Add a new place by providing its name, location, description, and cost
  4. View all places or search for a specific place by name or location
  5. Click on a place to view its details and rating
  6. Leave a rating and review for a place
