Hey @rviljoen 👋 Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to leave this suggestion. I had never had a chance to look at Brave. I agree with you that their setup is quite neat. As a matter of fact, moving configurations into I'd love to implement this but I can't give you a timeline. The infrastructure team that services the various Automattic apps is quite small and we have projects already in the pipeline. Having said that, if you feel up for opening a PR to implement that solution, I'd be more than happy to review it and help get it merged. |

Hi @leandroalonso, @emilylaguna, @mokagio and the @pocketcasts Team!
Thanks for making this project open-source. It's fascinating to see this app being developed in the open and improved with the support of the community.
I'm a novice iOS developer, so please forgive me if there is already an easy way to achieve this. I was able to quickly build the app following the instructions in 'README.md' and run it in the simulator. Deploying a build to test device took much longer though, as you have to update the code signing settings and hard-coded developer profile.
I was wondering if there is a cleaner way to do this and looked around some other open-source iOS projects. I stumbled on the Brave iOS browser and it seems like they have a fairly clean solution for code signing debug builds on local devices:
https://github.com/brave/brave-ios/blob/development/README.md#code-signing
Is this something you could consider adding to the Pocket Casts build config? Or do you have other suggestions to simplify local builds for test devices? I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
