Steps to replicate

  1. Open TwentySeventeen demo site in Mobile Safari (https://twentyseventeendemo.wordpress.com).
  2. Watch the header image as you scroll down the page.

Note that this only seems to happen in Mobile Safari, and doesn't appear in Chrome/Safari on the desktop even with a small window.

Result

The header image zooms in slightly when scrolling down, providing a jarring experience for the viewer.

Expected

The header image should not change size when scrolling.

Thank you for your report @tbradsha . I can confirm I can still reproduce this:

Since this is a bundled (default) theme issue, I am creating a matching issue in trac and tagging this one as [Status] Core fix needed.

In the future, please remember that issues coming from bundled themes need to be reported in trac. Thank you!

This issue can be closed because the report was moved to Trac.

Similar issues were reported in Trac 48195 and Trac 49770, so the problem may have been fixed already. (If so, please close 55994.)
