Steps to reproduce

  1. Edit a post in the WordPress editor
  2. Insert an image block
  3. Resize the image in the block using the horizontal axis adjustment
  4. Click to edit caption

What I expected

The caption text should be editable.

What happened instead

The caption text "skips" down the page, making it impossible to click.

Browser / OS version

Safari 13.0.2 (15608.2.30.1.1)

I was not able to reproduce this myself, but we've had a similar report via 2500275-zen. It seems to be limited to Safari for this customer. They say: "If I go [to the caption area] with the mouse, the field changes position again. It moves... I have to try to move the mouse from the bottom to the top of the image in order to "trick it", then entering the text without moving too much and then it’s ok." Here's a screenshot of what they see in Safari:

I got a report of this as well in 16662106-hc. I don't have any trouble reproducing the problem in Safari. Here's a screencast that shows the moving captions in Safari:

My Safari is Version 11.0.2 (it's old. I don't use Safari normally).

I got another report here:

2855110-zen

It happened during a QS session with Safari. I suggested the user use Chrome.

Hi @Automattic/team-calypso! Bringing this up again because I just ran into it. As it was mentioned above, I was only able to reproduce it on Safari (version 14.0.2, latest.)
