Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a new post or page in the block editor
  2. Publish it
  3. Command/Ctrl-click on the View Post/page link that appears at the bottom

What I expected

For the post to open in a new browser tab, as that's what Cmd/Ctrl-click is supposed to do.

What happened instead

The post loaded in the active browser tab, taking me out of the editor in the process.

Browser / OS version

Tested in Firefox and Chrome in MacOS 10.14.6

Context / Source

Discovered while trying to replicate another bug in the editor.

I experience this again when going over an Empathy Flow Testing so I'm reopening the issue.

Note that this only happens on WordPress.com. Self-hosted sites are fine.
