Stats: Missing author stats

I’m investigating a stats issue for a VIP client, where they’re finding that a number of authors are missing.

Here’s where they’re looking… https://elintransigente.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=post&author=53

But, for example, Luis – WordPress.com username is luislazarte92 (https://wordpress.com/wp-admin/network/users.php?s=luis.lazarte92%40gmail.com) – is not on this list. Looking at their site backend, I can see a number of his posts published by him in October (e.g. https://elintransigente.com/politica/2019/10/30/el-sistema-presidencialista-esta-hecho-para-la-reeleccion-y-macri-perdio-lanzo-sol-prieto/).

He has a working Jetpack link and the email on their site and on WordPress.com match up.

Just got a report for the same issue; some authors aren't shown in the monthly stats view, when they show up during the weekly and daily stats during that same month. Also, the weekly counts don't match the daily counts for that same period.

Another report in 3610978-zen. Certain authors don't seem to appear at all, not in the annual, monthly, etc. views.

4178958-zen might be related to this. The blog has 32 users in total, however only shows 17 users in Calypso.
