Clicking "Back to (sitename)" after starting connection flow causes WSOD in Safari #39678

Steps to reproduce

  1. As a logged in user, start connecting a Jetpack site in the latest Safari
  2. After being redirected to WPCOM to connect, click the "Back to (sitename)" link below the Authorize form
  3. You will see a white screen, and the exception InvalidStateError: Failed to execute 'transaction' on 'IDBDatabase': The database connection is closing. in the JS console

What I expected

To be returned to my wp-admin

What happened instead

White screen, exception

Browser / OS version

macOS 10.15.2, Safari 13.0.4 (15608.4.9.1.3)
