Steps to reproduce

  1. Starting at URL: /view/{site}
  2. Hovering over the URL at the top of this screen highlights it with a border and a "Copy" button to the far right; the button feels disconnected from the content. Maybe it could move next to the URL for a clearer association?
  3. Clicking on the URL highlights it in a way that visually suggests this is a text input with focus, but it's not; could we explore alternative ways of indicating we've copied/can copy the URL?

Nice on @sixhours! I've temporarily removed this from the Manage backlog. Once we have a proposed design, if it needs engineering work, please re-add this to the Manage backlog. Thanks!

Hey @sixhours
Here is the reference to same issue that happened in WordPress related to copy button. Since changing button label is not good for a11y, it was decided to show text that says copied next to that button when successfully copied. https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/48463
