[Bug]: Orange dot on the notification bell always appears, even if there are no notifications (Also see update)

Quick summary

The bug only appears on certain accounts. I tried clearing cache, but it didn't work. The problem appears on multiple browsers. My wordpress.com username is yuvallevental

Update: Now the orange dot is finally gone, but I am not sure what happened. It appeared on multiple browsers.

Steps to reproduce

1. I log in and see the orange dot.
2. I click on the orange dot and it vanishes. When I refresh the page, it appears again.

What you expected to happen

I read all of the unread notifications, so there should have been no dot

What actually happened

The orange dot appeared anyway for some reason.
