Issue with latest release version not automatically updating

Attempts to currently use the program have been met with the same error of the latest version not being updated. I'm not sure if there's another version or not, but as far as I'm aware I have the latest release version.

Forgive my ignorance, but how can I resolve this issue?

That looks like the NG fork. I think you want to bring this up on their page

They also have a new release, if you don't mind upgrading manually
