Description

I've had to disable the addon. After about 30 minutes I start getting severe FPS drops which make the game unplayable so I have to keep stopping and doing /reload. I thought it was a hardware issue but I just bought a new computer and it's doing the same thing. After disabling I haven't had any lag at all.

@Delarria are you using DX11 or 12?

I'll have to check for sure when I get home but I think it's 11.

Can you test with DX12 pls ? (you can change it in game)

I'm aware that some people have big FPS drops, but I haven't found anything in the code that could be the responsible
It's not a question of perf, as I thought because I have a very good PC so even if I have small drops on big actions I don't feel it.
but on potato PCs, apart from loading the route already done with a force reset (so rechecking all the steps in the route), some use have 0 problems, so I'm thinking that maybe it's just a driver version or something like that

+ I know the drop issue come from the current step frame because if you hide it, you'll get your fsp back
but since it only hides + creates new things in the frame like all the other addons it shouldn't have an impact on performance, at least not that much

Sorry for delayed response I haven't had much time to play with the holidays, I tried both 11 and 12 but it doesn't make any difference.

@Delarria Are you still experiencing lags with v3.1.4 or higher?

I did recently enable the addon again to play through the campaign. I get an initial spike on login, and small spikes very occasionally during gameplay but not as bad as before. I haven't had to /reload to keep playing so it seems the issue is better!

Sorry to answer months after, but his is what seems to 'fix' (or at least reduce drastically) the FPS drops, the stuttering/lag.
Just disable the 'step' mini window from showing up on the up, just keep the main, smaller, one and it'll be a smoother play.
