Update to latest version breaks because missing az CLI #713

I updated core tools with npm and now nothing works because it misses az CLI as dependency. Why can't you make the installer install that as well?

or more importantly why do you need this now?

You only need Az CLI for publishing to Azure
Closing as stale, if you are still experiencing the same error with the latest version of the Core Tools, please open a new issue
