A lot of these errors (and some others that don't have issues because they've been dealt with already) could've been caught by PHPUnit. Yet, for some reason, it's not actually catching them.

Alright, so, locally for me PHPUnit is working. A quick jaunt into travis.yml reveals some outdated settings I'm not interested in anymore. So I'll be applying the same travis settings as the rest of our sites have.
