linphone crashes when using TLS #406
Comments
Got the same issue |
Same here. Strangely, I can get the app to open if I launch it through the App Store, but it crashes immediately if I launch it via the home screen icon. |
Hello, Can you post logs and stack trace of the crash here ? Thanks |

Still have the same problem in latest build. Error is thrown right after exchanging the certs: Stack trace: |
Anyone who has got this working? |
Almost two months later but still not clue how to fix this. Does someone know the root cause of this problem? |
I had the Same issue. Instant crash if launching from home screen but it will open from App Store. Any change to transport then resulted in a crash. The issue turned out to be the extension hitting "max contacts" |
Yes, same issue here.
Are you referring to "max contacts" in Asterisk? In my case, this is not the issue. |
Yes, I am. |
Could it have to do something with the fact that I've installed the user certs into the iOS keychain? My linphonerc is referring to another directory but I don't know how to put the user certs in there? |
Hi all, no solution for this problem? The output for me is:
|
iPhone 11 on iOS 13.3.1 Brand new install of FreePBX 15 using Asterisk 16 or Asterisk 17. SSL is a godaddy wildcard cert. As soon as I try and connect with TLS the app crashes hard. |
It seems to be a problem only for Axterisk, we use it too. |
Same problem here, iOS 13.5.1, Asterisk 13.28.1. Certificate is from Letsencrypt, and the same certificate is accepted without warning in Safari and by other apps. Edit: I suspect that the certificate verification logic causes the crash, and that both apps use some iOS function to verify the server certificate (and that both apps fail to handle the exception). Could it be that iOS has some particular restrictions on SIP-TLS certificates, for example that some "usage" field must be present, or some particular subdomain in the "subject alternative name" field? |
Linphone on iphone imediatly crashes when using TLS. Only way to get back to app is to remove it and install it again.
Version used is 3.16.5
