Subj.: iMovie_602.dmg can't be installed
Mr. Europa showed how to Run iMovie HD 6 on Mac OS 10.11 El Capitan, Jan 21, 2019, @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hZX8BpeNX0, where accessed Dec 4, 2020. Unfortunately, the download URL he recommended refuses to work, forcing me to download iMovie HD 6.0.2 @ https://support.apple.com/kb/DL362?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US. The download is successful and iMovie_602.dmg is obtained instead. I put it on my desktop following Mr. Europa's video instruction.

One or two minutes later after double click at the "iMovie_602.dmg", "iMovie_602.pkg" is shown in a folder on desktop, named iMovieManual 6.0.2 automatically. Double clicking "iMovie_602.pkg" pumps out an interface named "Install iMovie HD Update", which provides a "Continue" button leading to the installing procedure.

This procedure is not successful, ending in a selection of destination, either my hard disk (--- GB available, --- GB total) or "iMovieManual 6.0.2 (64 MB available 81.4 MB total)". Former selection leads to:

"iMovie HD Update can't be installed on this disk. This update requires iMovie HD version 6.0.1." when my hard disk is selected.

And the later results in

"iMovie HD Update can't be installed on this disk. You can only install this software on the disk that is running OS X" when iMovieManual 6.0.2 (64 MB available 81.4 MB total) is selected.

Therefore, infor.plist file in Mr. Europa's video at 2:08 can't be found and it is impossible to changet:

CFBundleVersion 6.0.3

to

CFBundleVersion 10

Subj.: iMovie 9.0.9 works perfectly on OS X El Capitan but where is iMovie 9.0?

adddictedtomacintosh, iMovie 9.0.9 works perfectly on OS X El Capitan, 12 Jan 2016, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=950RQc9xOS0, accessed Dec 5, 2020.

iMovie 9.0.9 is available at [https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1574?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US](iMovie 9.0.9 download) Downloading now but wondering if the colossus over one GB is successful. Its sys requirement is OS X Lion v 10.7.4 or later, a little bit lower than 10.11.2 El Capitan.

The iMovie 9.0.9 at [https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1574?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US](iMovie 9.0.9 download) is an update, rather than an installer, so that an alert is pumped out: "iMovie 9.0 or later is required to install this update". Following this reasoning, iMovie 6.0 or later is required to install previously downloaded iMovie HD 6.0.2.

Conva.com: Complementary and/or substitute to iMovie
Whatever Conva.com functions, iMovie can be replaced and is becoming a trend as of its release, since 5G communication makes online editor so effective to allow people to work on previous "out-of-date" old computers and buy less high-level and expensive computers, saving more money and resource.

However, at the current stage of transition, it is necessary to keep both, as online editors such as Conva.com has not been developed strong enough as iMovie in terms of functionality.
