I am not sure what the expected behavior should be. On one hand, the cable cannot be picked up without going to its other end. On the other hand, if the cable could be picked up, then you wouldn't be able to grab the slider as easily. Because the cable is smaller than the slider and it would be easier to grab the slider and avoid the cable (not to mention the slider is visually behind the cable), I think the more sensible option is to have the cable take precedence. Currently, the slider, which is behind the cable takes precedence.

Cables that are positioned over sliders can't be grabbed from their end, only their start.
