<textLang mainLang="gez"/>
<note>The Beta ʾƎsrāʾel version has been published by Aescoly in <bibl><ptr target="bm:Aescoly1951Recueil"/></bibl>, together with a French translation. His text is based on the manuscript of the collection d'Abbadie in the Bibliothèque Nationale of Paris. The text of the present manuscript shows numerous variant readings and complete certain lacunae in the text published by Aescoly. It includes the book designed as "Acts of Moses" (compare Wrights catalogue Ms CLXIX) and reaches until page 142 of Aescoly's printed text</note>

<handNote xml:id="h1" script="Ethiopic">Nice, careful writing. The manuscript consists of two parts. Fol. 1-33a is distinctly Christian. With fol. 33b starts the Falasha section of the manuscript, beginning with the usual Beta ʾƎsrāʾel eulogy. As there is no visible separation between the two sections and the writing seems to be of the same hand, it must be assumed that a Christian copyist has copied the text, from 33b on, from a Falasha manuscript.</handNote>
