describe the Alt-F8 key combination in the popup

I have trouble remembering that I can hit Alt-F8 in the popup to get a permanent tabby window. It would be nice if something in the popup documented it. Alternatively, it would be nice if there was a button or some other GUI element in the popup that let you get a permanent tabby window.
