This was recently requested by Paula and is a high priority for her.

User stories

Potential spporter

As a potential supporter, I am often given the link to Sign up to Support the OLH. I do not have a Janeway account at this point, so if I go to that page, all I see is a login wall.

(If I am given Library Partnership Fees or Become a Supporter or I find the site by searching, then things make a bit more sense. I'll be able to fill out the calculator without an account and then when I click Sign Up and hit the login wall, I understand why.)

Press manager

As a press manager, I want to be able to share Sign up to Support the OLH with potential supporters. It's the most direct route to sign up, in cases where I've spoken to supporters and they already have the context they need.

Proposed solution

Allow the signup page to be viewed without logging in.

This could be achieved by using two steps / views. The key usability is to bring the non-PID data like supporter size and support level through the intermediary steps by means of GET query parameters. This will ensure that users don't have to refill the same information multiple times, and their calculated fee is consistent at various points of the user journey.
