Notarization for App on MacOS

For MacOS users

• Notarization for MacOS users has been implemented
• With the new notarized app update, we recommend MacOS users to install the app manually, instead of using the auto-update via app (refer to example below)
• When downloading the app for the first time or replacing the current with the latest update, DeFi Wallet will open without any security issue prompt — no need to allow security permissions in System Preferences

Note: Do not delete any file that you're unfamiliar with

1. Drag and drop into Applications

2. Select Replace

3. Open DeFi Wallet > Select Open

• This is a mandatory update to disable additional but problematic checks that were introduced with the Eunos upgrade. For more information, please check the release notes of v1.7.7.

Storage Optimization / App Requirements

• Snapshot is automatically stored in the respective Defi/snapshot (Mac) & DeFi Blockchain\snapshot (Win) folder
• After successful application of snapshot, user will be prompted with the option to delete snapshot via the app interface
• DeFi Wallet storage: 3GB
• Snapshot storage (temporary): 5.58GB
• Current snapshot block: 893,149

For existing users

• You will need to reindex, you may download and apply snapshot (approximately 5.58GB)
• During snapshot download process (while synchronizing to 90%+), the storage may temporarily peak
• App may seem stuck at block 893149, but it's actually reconsidering the block, give it time to synchronize

For new users

• 16GB of storage (including snapshot and temporary peak in storage) is required, the snapshot will bring synchronization to 90%+
• Ensure that you have enough disk space before downloading the app
