Biometrics lock bug #1219
Comments
Update: force stop and clear cache now allows me to get into the app when Locked and Secured is enabled, but everything still does require two prompts. |
Update 2: Force stop and cache clear didn't fix the issue in Locked and Secured, it actually just switched the setting back to Locked. That's probably a separate bug too |
Not a bug because the app will not switch the security level if the authentication isn't successful (which it sounds like it locked you out when you switched so that would be the case) |
Close it? |
@romhacks can you reproduce on the most recent alpha build? |
I can still reproduce the double authentication screens |
Hm okay idk then. Nobody else has this issue so I'm inclined to say it's a Samsung bug? Don't think there's anything wrong in our logic for the lock/unlock. |
I agree. OK to close |
update for the books: The One UI 3 (android 11) upgrade seems to fix this bug. |
In the latest build, any action that requires authentication needs to authenticate twice. This also involves what seems to be an app switch between the two attempts, so if the app is set to Locked and Secured, it becomes impossible to unlock the app without a reinstall.
