temporary gif-support branch is up to get a set of pngs to make gifs, but it won't be merged into main. just a quick ugly change for anybody who needs it (BANANAS) while i work on a more Elegant(tm) solution

press f1 during any animation to take and save a screenshot each frame to gifs/
