Latest version - Boost Note 0.21.1 LOCAL

I am again getting issue with the local version as i am not able to figure out how to transfer notes from laptop to pc.
As my laptop is having some issue i needed to migrate the notes to my local pc before sending it to service center.

Now the option of storage is missing..
I have set the storage to C:\MYDATA\BOOSTNOTE which consist attachment and notes folder during installation.
Now do not know how to import it to pc or migrate it to pc.

Kindly let me know.

Hi,

If you just want to migrate your local file system storage to another PC, you can:

  1. Copy the folder with your storage (the folder containing boostnote.json, notes sub-folder, and attachments sub-folder)
  2. Paste the folder to the new PC (transfer with USB or otherwise)
  3. Load the local file system storage in boost note application by importing the folder location copied (you should select root folder where notes and attachments folder are contained, not 'notes' or 'attachments' folder)

Let me know if you need further assistance

If you need more details on migration from legacy cloud to cloud or to local space, please see:
BoostIO/BoostNote.next-local#43

If you experience missing 'Space/Storage' preferences tab in boost note local 0.21.1 - this is fixed, and the new release will come out soon, with many improvements and other fixes.
