This is a great suggestion taken from here: BoostIO/BoostNote-Legacy#2839. I think this should be in the new app.

I think it would be more intuitive if there were only one button that toggles through each mode.

@ZeroX-DG can you rename it into editor mode since not all are "edit" modes? For a moment I wasn't sure if this concerns preview.

I think we can close this issue because it's already implemented in this app.

@Rokt33r is it implemented in the app? As far as I can see there's only two editor modes.
The option to have my note appear permanently as a preview would be helpful as when I "finished" a note, it could be shown as just the preview.

@b-rhodes It's an irrelevant issue. Could you create another issue? Also, I'd like to know how do you want to determine the finished status for a note.

@b-rhodes Full preview already exists. It just doesn't have a lock setting to it, so clicking it will open the editor.

This last part can be changed by going into Preferences and setting the switch to editor to something like 'upon double click'
