Alternative Host #15
Comments
Sort of the same issue here; I use reverse proxy for my setup (mysite.com/sickbeard) and sickstache can't handle that right now. Great app btw, very fast! |
Maybe I should be more specific. If I leave out the port it says invallid int. But port 80 (apache) isn't working either. |
I somehow missed your post. Sorry I got a normal 8-5 job so I dont really have much time anymore. You can do mysite.com/sickbeard You simply use 80 (the default http port) as the port and set your path as sickbeard. Then when you refresh. It should A) connect or B) after about 30 seconds produce a timeout error and list what it was trying to connect to. That way you can at least see what its trying to do. I would like to have multiple hosts like of like the one sabnzbd app, but like I said I have no time. I am very tempted to just make it free for everyone because I no longer need it for money. Maybe have something just for people that pay ... like a theme or something :) |
Hi, I have a question, and it seems related to this post, so I'm putting it here (not sure it's an issue). With SS, I can connect to SB server:
I really do not understand how to setup the extra PATH option to avoid manually editing this, or even if it's possible to do that. Am I misunderstanding the purpose of the extraPATH? Tnx a lot, love the app! |
@gilmas can you set your local router dns to have myhomeaddress go to 192.168.x.x? Then you could just have one hostname of "myhomeaddress" that would change depending on where you were. |
@gilmas I chose a network solution for this issue. I have DDNS setup and lets say I have 'mydomain.me'. I added a static DNS entry for sickbeard.mydomain.me on my router. This allows me to use the URI from inside my network. I then setup port forwarding on my router so I can access the server from outside my network as well. Just be cautious when you open a port to the evil inter webs :) |
Hi, I just bought the app, it's really slick! I have one feature request though, when I access my SB at home, I use a 192,169.1 local IP, but when I access it from elsewhere, I'll use a no-ip.com host address. So I have to keep changing the host in sicksstache depending on where I am. Could there possibly be an 'alternative host' option, that the app will use if one does not connect?
