When trying to run your code, I was given this error:

AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'decode'

Any advice for a fix?

Same issue here, would appreciate a fix!

This code is way out of my league however I did notice that the code uses the adaGPS variable which has a subvalue called Parity that is assigned a value of "None" when I checked Variable debugger. I believe this may be the source of the issue given similar problems on the internet, however I'm not sure how to fix it nor totally sure if I am right.
