esmgrids is a package containing Python representation of various ESM grids. @anton-seaice recently used and extended esmgrids to generate new CICE grid files from MOM grid files. If esmgrids is to be the tool we adopt and develop for working with OM3 grids, the mesh generation functionality should be move there.
