Knox County, Texas negative cases April 3 and April 20

Hello all,

We've been investigating minor decreases in case counties for Knox County, Texas that occurred on April 3 and April 20. The cases do not have a significant impact on the state or national level behavior, but are significant at the local level. We have discussed with several members of the Texas Department of Health Services about this issue. They have indicated that these negative deltas are the result of internal quality assurance efforts. The department has made the decision to allow the historical data to persist in their dataset with notes pointing to the errors. To be consistent with our source, we have also chosen to allow these negative deltas to persist with this issue serving as notice that the data for this location is at time anomalous.
