Alabama state cases saw a significant increase from yesterday.
On its website, the Alabama Department of Public Health notes that it "[...] is onboarding a large laboratory that has not previously reported COVID-19 results to ADPH. Over the next two cycles of data entry, a large number of cases may be added to the Data and Surveillance Dashboard. Some of these cases will be from previous months. For information related to when a case occurred versus when the case was reported, please view Tab 5. COVID-19 is a notifiable disease and laboratories are mandatory reporters. ADPH does not have control over when results are reported." (https://alpublichealth.maps.arcgis.com/apps/dashboards/6d2771faa9da4a2786a509d82c8cf0f7).
All the best,
Christoph
