Cactus.DummyAuthentication.Owin

Allows you to add authentication stub into you project without caring about real user storage. Postpone the authentication task and start building app right now.

How to use

Owin

  • Use nuget to add dependency Install-Package Cactus.DummyAuthentication.Owin
  • Add middleware app.UseDummyAuthentication()
  • Add Authorization header to your HTTP requests Authorization: TIMMY username

AspNetCore

  • Use nuget to add dependency Install-Package Cactus.TimmyAuth
  • Add service services.AddTimmyAuth() in Startup.cs ConfigureServices method
  • (OPTIONAL) Use middleware app.UseTimmyAuthentication() in Startup.cs Configure method if you need multiple authentication scheme support (tested on IdentityServer4 + TIMMY)

#Advanced

  • In case using of RestSharp, try out Cactus.DummyAuthentication.RestSharp package that implements IAuthenticator
  • Pass extra claims if need. Start your token with '!' and then add url-encoded clams: Authorization: TIMMY !role=admin&full_name=Mr%20X
