Epic Games have sent out this email for Marketplace updates for UE5. They are probably expecting all marketplace plugins and content to be resubmitted, and hence trying to ease the process on their validation teams.
Hello,
The release of Unreal Engine 5 is quickly approaching and we want to make sure that you’re ready for it! Below you’ll find information and guidance for updating your products to 5.0 and highlight the newest engine features.
Updating Products to 5.0
You may not need to submit an update for your product! Some products don’t need to be submitted to the Marketplace team for a review and update when 5.0 releases. That means you’ll be able to mark your product as compatible with 5.0 on release day.
When 5.0 officially releases, open your product in UE 5.0 to make sure that there are no technical issues or visual discrepancies in the content. If there are no issues, you can just check the 5.0 compatibility box and you don’t need to submit an update for review. If there are issues with your product, please submit a file update. Make sure you test with the official release, and not a preview build. For more information on how to update your products, please refer to the Seller Guide.
Here are some things to know about UE5:
From updates to the engine’s interface to new features such as Nanite and Lumen, there are many new and exciting changes coming with Unreal Engine 5.0.

Due to the changes in the engine, there will also be some changes to the Marketplace submission process. These updates will be reflected in the Marketplace Seller Guide and the Technical Review Checklist once Unreal Engine 5.0 has been released.
My take on this email is that the compatibility probably applies more to assets like models etc, rather than code plugins like Cesium. So we will likely have to resubmit a plugin similar to what we have been doing with UE4. Going through all the links to get an idea of the recommended practices will be useful.
