We have 6 non-trivial 3D Tilesets used by Sandcastle that would benefit from being re-compressed with Draco:

  • AGI Headquarters
  • Power plant
  • Chappes Church
  • New York City (CityGML)
  • San Miguel
  • Mount St. Helens

Basically we'll upload all new versions to the official CesiumJS ion account and then update the asset ids in the Sandcastle examples.

CC @shehzan10 I know you asked me to submit this a while ago, sorry for the delay.

When reconverting Mount St. Helens it would good to pass in --ignore-classification, lets us do more with shader styling.

Is there a README explaining how to convert normal 3D tiles to draco encoded 3D tiles?
If not, can you pls provide references of how to re-tile with draco?

@cherukumilli Thanks for your interest, but this is something our team will have to update. You would need access to a tool that can output 3D Tiles with Draco compression. If this is something you are looking to use for your tiling your own data, we have 3D Tiles processing tools available for purchase. You can contact tim@cesium.com for more information about this. Thanks again!
