I have no idea how complex or doable this is. But it would be nice to be able to annotate the PDF inside pympress. Potentially saving them as annotations with Poppler, inside the PDF, rather than forcing the user to have a second file next to it -- though the latter option seems much easier to deal with.

Though on second thought, pdf annotations are not very useful if you rebuild the pdf with beamer.

The first step is probably to provide the ability to edit annotations and save PDFs without worrying about these things.

Tracking how to make the edits persistent in #210.
