Describe the bug

properties panel disappears after closing the edit layout button. The properties panel should remain visible and accessible even after the edit layout button is closed, ensuring uninterrupted access to property setting

Steps To Reproduce

1. Go to 'simulator'
2. click on 'edit-layout'
3. then close 'panel'
4. see error

Expected Behavior

The properties panel should remain visible and accessible!
