Renders don't work properly in suspend

When a machine is in suspend, it looks like the render stops working.

I haven't changed anything about suspend, so it should just inherit from its parent which is working. I actually tried specifically overriding the suspend render, but it still doesn't work. (Look at the screenshot above to see what I mean)
