DEUTSCH:

Dieser 1.5-tägige Workshop findet am 6. Oktober und 7. Oktober in Berlin statt und ist für Anfängerinnen bestimmt mit keiner oder wenig Erfahrung im Programmieren. Wir geben euch eine Einführung in die moderne Programmiersprache Clojure, um euch einige fundamentale Programmierkonzepte vorzustellen. Trete der Clojure Community für einen lehrreichen Tag bei und erkunde Clojure bei kreativen, visuellen Projekten.

Wir treffen uns am Freitag Abend, um die Software zu installieren, die wir brauchen werden. Am Samstag werden wir dann den ganzen Tag lernen und programmieren. Ihr werdet in kleinen Gruppen zwischen 2 - 4 Personen lernen. Um euch anzumelden, solltet ihr euch als Frau identifizieren. Männer sind willkommen, wenn sie als Begleitung einer Teilnehmerin kommen.

Für den Workshop braucht ihr einen Laptop mit einem aktuellen Betriebssystem (Linux, Windows or Mac). Falls du keinen Laptop hast oder Fragen zu deinem Gerät, schreib uns gerne eine Mail.

ENGLISH:

This free 1.5-day programming workshop will be held in Berlin, Germany, on 6-7 October, and is intended for women✳ with little or no programming experience. Join the Berlin Clojure community for a day of learning and exploration through creative visual projects!

✳ We are offering this workshop to help make the Clojure community more accessible to a diverse range of participants. As such, registration is open to people who identify as a woman or have a nonbinary gender identity. Note that our coaches and organizers who will also be present at the event are members of the local Clojure community of various genders.

We'll meet up Friday late afternoon to install all of the software you need, and then spend Saturday learning and writing code. You will learn and practice in small groups of 2 to 4 attendees each.

Each participant should bring their own laptop with a fairly recent operating system (Mac, Linux or Windows). If you have questions about your hardware or you don’t have a laptop, then get in touch with the organizers before the event!

Additional Info

There will be food and drinks (vegan, vegetarian) provided. If you have any other dietary requirements you can let us know in the sign-up form.

The installfest on Friday starts at 18:00 (you can come a little later as well).

The workshop on Saturday runs from 9:00 till about 18:00.

We want to provide a safe and welcoming environment for everyone, so we will be asking all learners and event volunteers to respect the BERLIN CODE OF CONDUCT, which will be strictly enforced. Our aim is that ClojureBridge Berlin will introduce learners to new possibilities in programming and make the tech community in Berlin a more diverse and interesting place.
