These are instructions for installing dependencies after forking the project repo. Please see this guide for instructions on deploying.

  1. Install app dependencies: npm install.

  2. Install client dependencies. First install the bower command line utility: sudo npm install -g bower
    Then run: bower install

  3. Start the server and build the app. First install the gulp command line utility: sudo npm install -g gulp
    Then run: gulp
(note: running gulp will also run bower install, but you will need to have both command line utilities in place before running gulp).

  4. Install cordova plug-ins. First install the gulp command line utility: sudo npm install -g cordova
    Then run each command below:

    cordova plugin add org.apache.cordova.camera
    cordova plugin add org.apache.cordova.device
    cordova plugin add org.apache.cordova.file
    cordova plugin add org.apache.cordova.file-transfer
    cordova plugin add org.apache.cordova.geolocation
    cordova plugin add org.transistorsoft.cordova.background-geolocation
    cordova plugin add https://github.com/driftyco/ionic-plugins-keyboard.git
    cordova plugin add org.apache.cordova.inappbrowser

When adding new dependencies make sure to save them to the dependency list. For example: bower install --save jquery.

When adding bower dependencies, you will need to add the file path of the minified file to gulpfile.coffee to the paths.scripts.vendor object variable. Bower libraries are saved to the assets/components folder. This file is manually added, so we only load the minified file and not the entire library.
