¡Ya faltan pocos días para el taller de la CDSB 2019! Esperamos que ustedes estén igual de entusiasmados que nosotros. Para que el taller sea exitoso, necesitamos su ayuda.
Primero, les pedimos que llenen la siguiente encuesta (quité la liga en esta versión pública). Idealmente el sábado 27 de julio a más tardar. Esta información nos será especialmente útil para los últimos dos días del taller durante los cuales estaremos trabajando en equipos.
Segundo, les pedimos que lean las instrucciones sobre lo que necesitarán para el taller https://github.com/ComunidadBioInfo/cdsb2019. Ahí encontraran la lista de paquetes de R que necesitarán instalar antes del taller (idealmente con R 3.6 y RStudio 1.2).
Tercero. Van a recibir una invitación para unirse al Slack de la CDSB al correo electrónico con el cual se registraron al taller. Si no han escuchado sobre Slack, en http://lcolladotor.github.io/2018/06/19/using-slack-for-academic-departmental-communication/ escribí un poco sobre su utilidad.
Cuarto. Usaremos git y GitHub, sobre todo en los días 4 y 5 del taller, con una clase sobre ambos en el día 3. En https://happygitwithr.com/github-acct.html encontrarán recomendaciones sobre como escoger su usuario. Brevemente, usen su cuenta de email de una universidad si tienen y su nombre de usuario se puede volver su página web como http://lcolladotor.github.io/ o https://tereom.netlify.com/. En https://happygitwithr.com/install-git.html vienen instrucciones de como instalar git en su computadora.
Por último, en la sección de proyectos colaborativos https://github.com/ComunidadBioInfo/cdsb2019#proyectos-colaborativos-collaborative-projects les pedimos que compartan ideas de paquetes de R o actividades que quieran realizar en equipos durante los últimos dos días del taller. Para esta parte necesitarán crear una cuenta en GitHub https://github.com/join Escribanos un correo con su usuario de GitHub una vez que lo tengan.

Only a few days are left before our CDSB 2019 workshop¡ We hope that you are excited as we are. In order for the workshop to be successful, we need your help.
First, we ask you to fill out the following survery (link redacted in this public version). Ideally by Saturday July 27th. This information will be particularly useful to us for the last two days of the workshop during which we will be working in teams.
Second, we ask that you please read the workshop instruccions at https://github.com/ComunidadBioInfo/cdsb2019. There you will find a list of R pacakges that you will need to install on your laptop before the workshop (ideally using R 3.6 and RStudio 1.2).
Third. You will receive an invitation to join the CDSB Slack workspace on the email account you used to register for the workshop. If you haven't heard about Slack, at http://lcolladotor.github.io/2018/06/19/using-slack-for-academic-departmental-communication/ I wrote a bit about its usefulness.
