This is the fourth, and hopefully final, v2 pre-release of CostBot. There's not a lot more to talk about, so let's get straight to the changelog.
Changelog
Feature additions
Add a new versioning system for use within the bot. Under this new versioning system, the bot automatically looks at the commit or tag HEAD is pointed to in Git, and searches for a CI run that has the same head SHA. It then takes the run number of that specific run and displays that as the version number, in the following format: v2-1766. The workflow used for this is CostBot Continuous Integration. In case there's no run number to display, it falls back to using the first 7 characters of the SHA hash. This only affects the bot, new releases will still use a major.minor.patch system.
Bug Fixes
Revert a change where .env was accidentally changed to .env.test in the dotenv options on startup, leading to the bot either not booting up at all or booting up in the potentially wrong environment, depending on whether or not such file existed.
Change the embed footer data of one more embed, in accordance with the previous release as well as what is being depreciated by the discord.js library.
This discussion was created from the release v2.0.0-rc.3.
