Noticed by our good buddy Mr. Dietz of SWARM:
Joel Dietz { ○ˣ }: I'm saying that you login to counterwallet and it doesn't show any of the other assets. Strangely the assets do appear on the transaction log and blockscan shows them correctly. Interestingly, this seems to happen for some addresses and not others. (Btw, I've heard of this issue many times, but this is the first time I've had the opportunity to observe it.)

[6:32:25 PM] Joel Dietz { ○ˣ }: other weird stuff about that address include
[6:32:40 PM] Joel Dietz { ○ˣ }: -- it had a bunch of extra BTC addresses listed below
[6:32:58 PM] Joel Dietz { ○ˣ }: -- while we were logged in it showed extra incoming BTC in the zero conf display

This is an issue I've heard of many times but only finally had the chance to observe.

It seems that with some addresses, at certain times, when you login you will see no Counterparty assets.

For example, suppose I have 1 SWARM, 1 MYNAMECOIN and 1 BTC.

When I login to counterwallet, I see only 1 BTC.

When I go to the "History," I see the SWARM and MYNAMECOIN, but they do not appear in the balances.

When logging into other addresses on the same server the assets do appear, so the problem appears limited to certain addresses.

Most people that have reported this issue have come back and said that the assets mysteriously reappeared later. In this case, I have only observed it over an 12 hour window and the assets are still mysteriously absent.

Also notable is that when you go to other functionality like "issue a dividend" you can see the correct balances, but if you actually try to issue it it will give you an error saying "issuing a dividend of 1 SWARM will leave you with a balance of -1 SWARM" (i.e. it subtracts from the zero balance).

If the btc balance is ?? That is a slightly different api call problem. Are you hearing multiple reports of this?
