colour of text not maintained after opening in inkscape

The text colour is as programmed after the svg export and opening the download file and displaying in Chrome. However if I then open the sag exported file in inkscape everything is fine except the text colour is set to black. Line colours etc work fine though.

I suspect it might be something to do with the font - I am using Arial??
