<div type="commentary" subtype="frontmatter" xml:space="preserve"><p>Medical prescriptions. The recto seems to preserve parts of three recipes; the first two remedies are potions against internal corrosive processes, probably inflammatory diseases of the digestive tract (recipe 1; ll. 1-3) and catarrh or haemorrhage (recipe 2; ll. 4-6). Only few unreadable traces of the third remedy survive (ll. 7 ff.). It is not possible to asses the exact number of letters lost at the beginning of each line. The verso is blank.</p><p><note type="footnote" xml:lang="en">This papyrus has been digitally edited by Luca Iori, with former contributions by ANgelica Brunazzi, as part of the Project "DIGMEDTEXT - Online Humanities Scholarship: A Digital Medical Library based on Ancient Texts" (ERC-AdG-2013, Grant Agreement no. 339828) funded by the European Research Council at the University of Parma (Principal Investigator: Prof. Isabella Andorlini). The digital edition is mostly based on the previous editions (ed.pr. = C. Préaux, O.Bodl. II 2183; ed.alt. = C. Préaux, CE 31, 1956, pp. 141-2).</note></p></div>
