I had my remote working just fine, I haven't made any changes at all and it
suddenly stopped working. I checked the vlc wiki and they told me to edit
the .hosts file. I added my network address, then even added all addresses.
I put an exception in my firewall to allow VLC and also to allow port 8080
tcp/udp. I even allowed it though my router, however I still can't open the
http interface on my machine or any other. Any sudgestions?
I have tried running it with:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" --extraintf=http --fullscreen
--http-album-art --qt-start-minimized
and:
"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" --extraintf http --intf wx
(which is the one that originally worked)

* Make sure your Android device is connected to the right WiFi network
* Check if you can connect with the Android browser
* Check if you can connect with the PC browser
* Don't open your router firewall! (otherwise people will be able to browse the files on your computer)
