Meteor data adapter for dhtmlxScheduler

Allows using dhtmlxScheduler component with Meteor.

How to use

  • Add the dhtmlxScheduler data adapter:

    meteor add dhtmlx:scheduler-data
  • Define data collections as usual:

    TasksCollection = new Mongo.Collection("tasks");
  • Initialize dhtmlxScheduler and data adapter:

    <body>
      <div id="scheduler_here" class="dhx_cal_container" style='width:100%;height:500px;'>
          <div class="dhx_cal_navline">
    	  <div class="dhx_cal_prev_button">&nbsp;</div>
    	  <div class="dhx_cal_next_button">&nbsp;</div>
    	  <div class="dhx_cal_today_button"></div>
    	  <div class="dhx_cal_date"></div>
    	  <div class="dhx_cal_tab" name="day_tab" style="right:332px;"></div>
    	  <div class="dhx_cal_tab" name="week_tab" style="right:268px;"></div>
    	  <div class="dhx_cal_tab" name="month_tab" style="right:204px;"></div>
    	  <div class="dhx_cal_tab" name="year_tab" style="right:140px;"></div>
          </div>
          <div class="dhx_cal_header">
          </div>
          <div class="dhx_cal_data">
          </div>
      </div>
    </body>
    Meteor.startup(function() {
      //Init dhtmlxScheduler.
      scheduler.init("scheduler_here", new Date());

      //Init dhtmlxScheduler data adapter.
      scheduler.meteor(TasksCollection);
      //or
      scheduler.meteor(TasksCollection.find(/*[anything]*/), TasksCollection);

     //or if you want to use validated methods instead of basic collection (insert, save, remove) functions
      scheduler.meteor({collection : TasksCollection, collectionCursor: TasksCollection.find(/*[anything]*/),
    	methods: {
    		insert: referenceToInsertMethod,
    		update: referenceToUpdateMethod,
    		remove: referenceToRemoveMethod
    	}
      });
      // Note that these methods must be defined with ValidatedMethod pacakge

      /*
    	Methods signature :
    	insert: {event: Object},
    	update: {_id:String, event: Object},
    	remove: {_id: String}
      */
    });

    Note that this behavior works only with autopublish package installed. Otherwise, you have to define your custom publication and subscribe to it in the themplate ( or the router ).

    // On the server side
    Meteor.publish('all_tasks', function() {
    	return TasksCollection.find({});
    });

    // On the client side ( you can also use SubsManager package )
    Meteor.subscribe('all_tasks');

  • Stop the data adapter:

    scheduler.meteorStop();

That is it.
