Similar issue for the readoutlibs (@glehmannmiotto @gcrone, DUNE-DAQ/readoutlibs#152 (comment)), with an idea to retrieve detector config from ModuleConfiguration. Searching through DUNEDAQ, I only found mention of ModuleConfiguration HERE:
