Any good suggestions here? I personally think the errors should be correlated directly with the snr, and then maybe a smaller correlation to the parameters itself that increases as "distance" from solar parameters.
I share Daniel's instict of correlation with SNR but I'm unsure on how to add a smaller correlation increase with "distance" from solar parameters. Wouldn't that require us to "map" how that would scale?
My feeling is that such a correction will not be symmetric the further you go from solar.
But I'll see if I can think of an alternative for the one-fixed-parameter scenario.
The errors when a parameter is fixed are not realistic for the free parameters.
