Power management in EC

Brief summary

Unplugging a power supply may sometimes cause a shutdown

How reproducible

Various, especially high on NV4x TGL with Nvidia graphics and Wavlink docks

How to reproduce

  • Connect power supply to laptop
  • Power on laptop
  • Run CPU stress test
  • Disconnect power supply

Expected behavior

Laptop stays on

Actual behavior

Laptop sometimes shuts down

Additional context

Service manual says to set PROCHOT# low for 3 seconds after AC adapter unplug.
Nvidia graphics wake up for some reason when disconnecting dock, causing immediate increase in power draw.
